Project Idea
In this project, we aimed to form a knot on a target polymer by connecting the polymer and a long DNA chain at over 20 spots, bending the DNA chain, and changing the configuration of the polymer indirectly. It is generally difficult to process polymers (particularly nonpolar ones) directly and physically. When we connect the polymer and the long DNA chain and bend the long chain, we use short DNA chains. It is ideal that the nanoscale machine which we design only helps forming knots of polymers and does not helps maintain the knots.
